This kit came with everything we needed and the instructions were thorough; the video instructions were very helpful as well. It did take three people to help hold our dog and wrap the cast material, luckily my dog was fairly cooperative.

The custom brace has been working well to give my dog additional support due to a partial tear. It fits well and must be comfortable because it does not seem to bother him when he is wearing it.

Our big 12 year old Black Lab Carlton received an orthotic from AOC for a couple of torn tendons in his right rear leg, surgery wasn’t an option. His “hoof” which is blue has been a complete success! It’s brought him back to nearly 100%. Victoria the person who we communicated with at AOC was very helpful and great to work with.
We call Carlton a “Blue Hoofer by day and a Black Lab by night.
We would recommend AOC to anyone who’s pet requires orthotics.

You asked, so here goes: 20.00 is very expensive for a product that I must have for my dog’s brace and I haven’t found any alternatives although I have shopped. The 20.00 would be more palatable if my dogs toenail didn’t pierce through the toe of the sock, rendering the socks unusable after a short time. Maybe you can design a sock with a tougher toe? I am so impressed with your company and the custom brace. I brag to everyone about your mission and your brace. However, the sock’s cost and it’s durability is an issue for me.

We are so sorry to hear that this has been happening! If your dog's brace fits fine without the sock, then you do not need to use it. In the future, we are trying to move away from using the Knit Rite socks with hock and carpal braces as some dog's do not need it. We will keep your feedback in mind regarding the sock and share with the rest of our team. If you haven't already, we recommend getting your dog's nails trimmed if possible.
